Geology

Infrastructure
  • Some signs of geological structure indicate that cracks and / or shifts are east-west- directed and in accordance with regional geological maps
  • Geological interpretation is based on the results of field observations :
  • Trachyte is deposited in a submarine environment
  • Trachyte Volcanism penetrated the Tonasa Formation in the late Miocene
  • Intrusion is accompanied by the activity of tufa, lava and carbonate sediment deposition.
  • Trachyte volcanism under the sea is conducive to the deposition of Pb-Cu
  • It is possible that a regional fault caused the Tonasa Formation to appear again in the east. This regional fault is only expected but may be parallel with the main north-south trending regional fault shown on the map
  • The primary metal is lead but it also contains significant silver and some presence of copper, zinc.
